Faith is the expectation of God. Faith is that capacity of the human spirit through which God moves into His creation.
Right now, all over the earth, God is sending forth a grace, an enablement, a believing, a faith in His word. Right now, all over the world, there are sons of God, men and women, who find any desire for life in this world just vanished. And all that they want is to be with Him as He stands in His glory upon this earth. They are tired of Christian teaching that puts chains and shackles around God and what He is able to do inside of us.
When they read in their Bibles where Jesus said, "He that believes in Me out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water," they want to know what He means by that. They want to taste that river flowing through them.
When God said that we are filled with all the fullness of God, they want to know it, they want to see if for real.
When God says that by the blood of the Lamb we overcome our enemies, they want to experience full and final victory, they want to know what it means to have the enemy of Christ solidly under their feet. They want to prove God; they want God to prove His word in their lives and in their bodies.
When God says that He is determined to conform us into the image of Jesus Christ, they are determined to know and reveal the Father just as Jesus knows and reveals the Father.
Right now there is an anointing, an enablement, a sealing, that is coming upon the minds and hearts of God's people.
This volume is a chronicle of my journey over the last five years. I go back over the path, clearing the stones, making the crooked places straight. I point out shelters along the way, protection from storms and the fury of the giants. Those who walk the path towards home will find a safe way, a clearly marked road, places of protection, and clear maps through the dangerous passages.
There is no part of me that is not in Christ and there is no part of me that Christ is not in. To try to talk about myself as if I am somehow separate in any possible way from the person of the Lord Jesus Christ is to talk words that have no meaning, that make no sense.
When we look at the heart of God, His intention and purpose, all other things in the Bible fall into place. We must find the one verse that shows us the heart and purpose of God. What is He doing? What does He want out of this thing?
God must be seen; He must be known and touched - forever through a company of sons walking together in perfect harmony, filled with all the fullness of God, releasing God in a river of life that heals and brings life and joy to all, triumphing over every voice that speaks against the kindness of God. Jesus the head, and we the body, conformed in all ways to the image of Jesus Christ.
I grew up in the Mennonite Church. My parents, however, saw themselves much more as Christians than as Mennonites, and so I had much exposure to a variety of Christian environments including the local Baptist Church. In the summer of my seventh year, I was sitting by myself on the back steps of our house. My heart was "strangely warmed" and by the remembrance of a recent VBS teaching, I asked Jesus to come into my heart.
It dawns on me that I walk in a garden of peace, with a delight of oneness with Jesus that I have never known before. The joy of knowing that an unending discovery of Jesus in me and me in Jesus lies before me. Jesus, as He is right now, lives His life in my life, as I am right here. And I? I am hid with Christ in God.
